One major caveat of kratom and 7-OH specifically is… the half-life is dismal. You can start taking a dose once a day, or every 6-8hrs, but once the body adjusts many people end up needing a dose every 2hrs because the relief, and whatever effects spike rapidly and fade rapidly. Some people rely on this alkaloid to function in a normal life. Doc cut off their chronic pain prescription, got rods in their back and no help for the side effects, mood and focus, whatever the case is- people find their own routine of self medication with all sorts of things (not just kratom) that allows them to be the most productive person/parent/husband/wife they can be. There’s a few companies touting nano extended release, or other long lasting formulations and these are either straight BS or they are using something with a longer half life like MGM15 and calling it 7-OH (which is dangerous for several reasons). I digress… We have not found a single real example of an extended release 7-OH yet.
So we fixed it! Through a lot of research, math, troubleshooting, and many obstacles- these 30mg 7XR tabs are delightful. They offer a smooth and consistent ride up, peaking around the 2-3hr mark and a gentle and soft ride back down to last around 6hrs. Do not fall into the fallacy these will have the punch of a normal 30mg tab AND last for 6hrs or you will be disappointed. That isn’t how life works, we cannot magically change the half life of 7-OH. These tabs take that 30mg and slow drip them over the course of 6hrs. Peak concentrations may only reach 15mg or so at the 2-3hr mark.

Test Rounds: There are several use cases these tabs came in clutch for our test groups, and many of them thoroughly enjoyed them after getting the hang of the best strategy for them. Scenario #1 is sleep. Some users wake up in the middle of the night, and may give themselves a dose to help them get back to sleep. With a short half life on normal products this may only be 3 or 4 hrs at most. Horrible sleep quality. These XR tabs eliminated that need for almost the entire test group. They slept like a baby for at least 6hrs (vs 3hrs normally) and couldn’t believe it when they woke up feeling better.
Scenario #2: The workday. Today’s day and age is busier than ever, and having to constantly think about how or when you can take the next dose is annoying and can kill productivity. In laborious jobs those aches and pains start creeping back in, and you have to interrupt the flow to take a dose and try to keep going without so much discomfort. Some testers took a normal maybe slightly smaller dose of a non XR tablet or kratom powder to get some immediate relief, and then took an XR and they were able to not think about redosing for potentially 8hrs. That’s incredible! Many people would need an additional 3-4 doses in that time span. This slow drip mechanism is not going to give that recreational punch a regular tablet would. They are stable, and mitigate the large up and down roller coaster ride people go through every day.
In conclusion our testers reported better sleep capabilities, less re-dosing, some were able to have less consumption overall which led to a more stable and even reduced tolerance. They also reported less of a crash. Many people call this crash “opi rage” because what goes up must come down. A powder dose or regular tab causes a steep releases of happy chemicals which will cause an equally steep crash of them. Easy to frustrate, down mood, impatient, etc until these neurochemicals recover. A nice slow drip mechanism mitigates this crash because the “highs” are not so high, and also not so constant.
TLDR: Testers found it helped with reducing the need to dose multiple times during the day, and helped tremendously with sleeping at night. For immediate relief they would take a normal or small dose of a non XR product in tandem with the XR tablet and it would start working quickly and last them well past the times they would normally have to dose again.
It may take a little experimenting to figure out the best use case for your individual needs, but these 7XR tabs kick major ass! We’re excited to bring this revolutionary product out to the market.
